I've done really well so far at 5 months out, but now that the weathers warm I WANT a milkshake, any suggestions? I used to take my little girl to dq in the summer and she always wants to go have one. What about carb countdown and vanilla sugar-free ice cream? Any help would be appreciated.

I heard there was carb free sugar free ice cream out there i haven't looked myself tho but maybe you can find that and add some carb solutions drink or something i often contemplate doing it myself to be able to get the drinks down (presurgery needing to lose weight before) but i know its not a great idea in my situation so i just try to pretend i't a watery mcdonalds milkshake lol sometimes it works lol

Take a 1/2 scoop low carb icecream. 1 scoop isopure zero carb chocolate protein powder 4 oz low carb countdown 2% or even fat free dairy beverage. Mix in blender I use this to get my thirty gram protein in but I use 8. The isopure has a malty taste so it tastes like a chocolate malt.

Jack that sounds yummy. Wonder if PM Protein from GNC would work as well? I will have to do some experimenting. I have to watch the "sugar free" stuff as I dump like crazy on sugar alcohols...ew But this mixture sounds fairly decent. Thanks! Val

Connie, I am still pre op and I ordered samples from unjury.com at $1.50 each. I got 2 chocolates in my pack and I mixed 1 pack with 4 or 8 oz of fat free milk and ice in the blender and I thought it tasted just like a milkshake! Now of course it may not to you, but to me it was simple to mix.........not alot of extras to go out and buy........and I thought it was yummy!! You may want to try the carb countdown chocolate milk and just mix it with ice in a blender to give it that milkshake consistancy........that should help! I also heard that Blue Bunny makes a good sugar free icecream(from my dietian) just make sure you check the sugar and sugar alcohol content of these and if they are low I don't think you'd have a problem, but this is coming from a pre-op so I'm not sure!! SORRY! Good luck and let us know what you deside to make and how it turns out!! Tabitha Good luck! Tabitha
