Meal Discount Cards

I was just wondering if any of you have been successful at using your discount meal cards in Chillicothe or the South Central Ohio area? My husband and I have both had this surgery and eat out occassionaly. When I asked some of the people in our group they didn't know of many. Debra

My card has worked well for every place but...GOLDEN CORRAL. My husband and family love that place but we will not go back. When we talked to the manager about it, acted like he really didn't care and just gave us the number for corporate. I just can't justify paying $8 to eat 1/2 cup of food. And you can't take any home with you as they don't have doggie bags. It is frustrating and I think discriminating. (ok, stepping off of soap box now LOL)

Jill, I had the exact same experience at Golden Corral. They acted so rude, and didnt care I could only eat a 1/2 cup of food. How strange that we were both treated so rudely. Have a good one! Chelle

I never used them myself. I just took the extra home or even just let it sit. I also stayed away fro Golden Corral just for the reason that I did not want to spend 8 bucks for the little amount of food. I was able to order off the senior menu at Frisch's without a problem. Not sure that was a good thing or that I look that darn old hahahahahahahahaha

Sadly, Golden Corral here too! They just act like you are totally inconviencing them. I mean for goodness sake they are going to throw away more food then we eat. I did eat at this one buffet, and lord I can't remember the name. It's in Logan, Ohio...something like the Dutch Panty, Amish Style buffet, they were so awesome! The first time they didn't even charge me the second time they charged me something ridiculously low. Some places are on board and some are not. That's a shame about Golden Corral. I won't go back either. If I go to Bob Evan's and other places I just take the leftovers home. Oh yes, Hometown Buffet only charged me a childs rate. Good luck, Val

Ryans, never questions me. I don't usually use my card but there they will charge me for a child. Its still 5 dollars but not 8. RIchard

Golden Corral simply will not take my card. I threw a fit one day in Cincinnati at a Golden Corral. LOL I told them that I would never eat at another one. Ponderosa in Chillicothe does actually all Ponderosa does. I have also used it at Bob Evans. Number 1 China Buffet does here in Hillsboro, and Wilmington. Hugs Jackie

Debra-- Ponderosa in Waverly honors my card. They only charge a child's price. I'm not sure if Chillicothe will do that or not!! Jennifer

Would someone please tell how I can get a Discount card for meals, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. I haven't been out to eat yet.

Hi Vicki.The truth for me is I hardly ever order anything. I eat a little off my familys plates and I get a great varity. They just put a tablespoon of there food on my plate and I am all set and noone cares. The portions are so big they are happy to share. The restaurants are glad to help if you do want to order. They will give you a childs portion if you tell them about the surgery. I got my card from Dr.Curry but I have never used it. Cindy -98 lbs so close
