Need to find a PCP in Chillicothe Ohio who supports Bariatric Surgery

Hi Everyone, I am new to this site. I had a consultation for Bariatric Surgery and since I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance, I have to find a Primary Care Physician who will work with me for the next six months to meet all my insurance requirements to even apply for pre approval. My current PCP will not even discuss Bariatric Surgery. I live in Chillicothe Ohio so if anyone has a PCP who is working with them in this area I would love to hear from them. Thanks so much!! Hi Elizabeth. I am originally from Chillicothe but have lived in Grove City for over 10 years. I don't know how far you are willing to drive, but I have a great PCP in Grove City. It isn't really a bad drive. Also, I know one of the other folks here used a PCP in Circleville at an office I actually went to when I liked in Chillicothe. Sure ... the doctor in Grove City is Dr. Laurie Chevalier. I am actually the first patient she is personally sending down this road but her mother-in-law just had the surgery and she is very intune with things. She is one of the best doctor's I've been to. The one in Cicleville is Dr. Gillen. He is with Circleville Family Practice. I used to see him and others in the office when I lived in Chillicothe and for about the first 3 years I lived in Columbus. I don't personally know what his take on things are but I do know I spoke to someone else from here who used him. I can't remember who it was so maybe they will reply, as well. My mother still lives in Chillicothe and knows of a couple people who had surgery. I am guessing they had a doctor there so I will also ask her if she can find out who they went to. It is really important to have a doctor that supports this journey. Good luck and if there is anything else I can do, just let me know. Shellie
