How long??

For those of you that have gone through OSU.... When you went for your pre-op with the surgeron, how long did it take to have your surgery? I am just curious. My appt is on May 2nd. Thanks! Julie

Hey Julie! My pre op was May 31 and I had my surgery July 10th. (this was in 2003). Depending on what the surgeons schedule is I would average about a month after your pre op you will get a date. I think that seems to be how it's going lately. Mine was a little further than that because my doc wasn't just a bariatric surgeon, he is the Cheif of Surgery and does minimally invasive surgeries of all types, so his schedule was pretty full. Are you getting excited? I would venture you will have your surgery in June. Just a guess...I know it seem like forever but it will come faster than you know! Hugs, Val

Hi Julie, My friend Paula went to Dr. Mikami, she got her approval letter on Feb 28th(tuesday) got an appointment w/Dr March 7th(the next monday) and had surgery on March 29th........was told could have done earlier but she didn't have her 4 week post-op nutrition classes completed until the 23rd. So she got hers very quickly! Was May 2nd the soonest you could get in??? Was it w/ Dr. Needleman? Tabitha
