I'M SOOOOO UPSET

WELL LET ME START BY SAYING THAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY HAS HAD MY MEDICAL RECORDS FOR OVER A MONTH. ON MARCH 21ST ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES CALLED ME SAYING THAT THEY NEED A LETTER FROM MY SURGEON WHICH WAS FAXED ON THAT DAY. I CALLED THEM TODAY TO CHECK THE STATUS OF MY CLAIM AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY OF THE THINGS THAT WERE SENT. I THINK THAT'S RATHER HORRIBLE. SO I HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE THINKING THEY WERE WORKING ON IT I GUESS THEY LOST EVERYTHING THAT WAS SENT TO THEM. AT THIS POINT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR IF I CAN DO ANYTHING

Hi, I don't have your insurance, but I have Aetna. My stuff was sent to them Tuesday and I was told that OSU even got confirmation that it was received by Aetna. I have called the last 2 days to make sure they got it and they still have no record of it yet. They said it takes awhile for them to shuffel through all the claims and stuff. The same thing happen to my friend Paula, hers was sent on a thursday and she called Aetna everyday to see if they got it and they kept saying no. She finally called the day before the 2 week mark, and they said they just got it and it may take up to 45 days for a decision, well she knew that next day that she was approved. So the process is long I think because it takes them awhile to actually "get to it". But I'm with you on this, and the waiting is torture!! But I will call again tomorrow and everyday till I have my answer.....one lady at Aetna even encouraged me to call everyday saying that once it shows up in the system and I call in they will start the claim right then, where it may take them even longer to get to it if I don't call!! So calling, I am. I say do the same thing too! SO is your insurance company saying they don't have anything or they don't have the letter from your surgeon? I would call your surgeons office and tell them refax it to your insurance company and CALL EVERYDAY!! Don't give up and wait for them, you have to make sure they have everything and they are reviewing it! keep your chin up........I should talk, I'm driving everyone in my family nuts waiting for my answer, but believe me it will all go fast once we have our approval. My friend Paula was approved on Feb 28th and she had her surgery just 2 days ago on tuesday. Tabitha!

HI TABITHA THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE I AM GOING TO CALL THEM AGAIN TOMMOROW. BUT WHAT'S REALLY PUZZLING ME IS THAT SOMEONE CALLED ME SAYING THAT THEY HAD RECIEVED THE MEDICAL RECORDS AND NOW THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THEM. IT'S A LITTLE UNSETTLING TO HAVE ALL OF MY CONFIDENTIAL RECORDS JUST FLOATING AROUND IN THIER OFFICE SOMEWHERE. BUT I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE UP I WILL WRITE TO THE DIRECTOR IF I HAVE TO BECAUSE THIS JUST ISN'T RIGHT.
