Cleveland Support Group/Meetings??

Hey all! I am so psyched; my PAT's are tomorrow and my surgery is April 11th! I can't wait to be a loser. I was wondering if there was anything in Cleveland (or nearby) in terms of support groups, get togethers, etc. I'd love to meet people in this area going through WLS. TIA, Jessica

University Hospital has support group meetings on the first Monday of every month for pre-op people. There is one on April 4th at 6:oo. You have to call 216-844-5961 opt. 1 to reserve a seat or seats.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting I had my surgery with DR.BEN MEIR on 12/21/04 I was 286 now 238 It is very exciting. My friend Donna and I go to the kirtland/mentor support group the first Thurs of every month you are welcome to come with us. Also we were looking into setting up a informal support group. JESSICA, There is a meeting at the Jammin Java Place(corner of Ridge and Pleasant Valley Rd). IT is called Simply Support... They meet every Monday night from 7-9. Where that is compared to you IOhave NO CLUE. However it is a great meeting and a great group of people attend. Jessica - Hi Mary-Jo here. Surgery 2/6/02 - loss of 170 pounds. If you need some more info on support groups available to you, there is a local website - OhioBariatric.com that has a link to support groups and a message board and all kinds of support for questions and just talking... check it out. There is a fabulous meeting that is held out in Cleveland Heights - run by 2 WLS successes and they are all wonderful people! good luck!
