Who worked it out today?
Just checking to see if any of my Ohio WLS friends are working out today! It's a cold and yucky and rainy day...and it's also the first day of spring quarter, so I'm having a hard time motivating myself.
I figured I would post to remind myself to get up and moving - I'm going to take a cardio strength training class at the gym, and it starts in just over half an hour.
Not looking forward to it, but I know I'll have fun when I get there!
I have a chart hanging in the kitchen, because last week marked 12 weeks until graduation. I promised myself I would work out 5 times a week for all 12 weeks - so 60 workouts to go from last Sunday! I only got four in last week, though, so I've got some catching up to do already. Better go earn my sticker for today.
Who's moving and shaking with me?!

I AM!! I am 3 weeks out, and have only been walking on the treadmill and riding the bike. But I am ready for more. I will be using the weight machine today. I am going to go at it slowing, don't want to rupture, rip and regret! I have been waiting for this, I was working out prior to surgery and I don't want to lose the tone I had worked so hard to get.
I will get my cardio in this morning, and my weights in tonight with my husband.

You be careful with those weights! Were you an open or a lap? I'm sure you're following doctor's orders, but I get scared hearing about weight lifting this soon out! Lol. I had my open RNY 2/15 and have really just started back to weights in the past two weeks.
Even today, I was feeling a little too much pressure on my incision with the tricep machine, so I let that one go for today. I'll try that one again later.
But it's GREAT that you're feeling up to exercising already. I'd say we have another rockstar-in-training around here.
