Glad to find you!

Found out from Jaimee Spangler that this message board exists! So glad to see it since the national board was making me nuts! Too many fights and too many oversensitive folks there to suit me. I need good information and to help anyone I can. I am almost two years out and have some experience to spread. I am one of the lucky ones! I had an open RNY at Mt. Carmel with Dr. Custer and have had zero problems. I lost 100 lbs by 6 months and at 18 months I had lost 145 lbs. I have stabilized out and still no complications. Mind you, I watch what I eat, try to get exercise (not always good at this) and make sure I get my 64 oz a day and at least 65 gm. of protein a day. I don't drink when I eat and I do protein first. No sugar and no carbonated beverages. This works for me. I do need to get more exercise, I'm lazy at heart. Spring, whenever it decides to hit us here in Ohio, will be a blessing for my walking plans. I go to the Support group at Mt. Carmel and have just started going to the one at the Reynoldsburg UM Church on the third Monday of the month. Hello to all of you WLS'ers and potentials. Suzie

Hey Suzie! Glad you found your way back home to the Ohio Board. I very RARELY go to the Main Board. Went there a couple of times, and GOOD GRIEF!!! You are right, nit picking, fighting, etc. I made a quote on something one time, and I was off by like a word and this guy got on there and practically ripped my head off....GET A LIFE WILL YA!! Anywhoo...Nice to meet you! My hubby (who had surgery too) and I hang here and the Bodybuilding/Weightlifting forum...if you want to get jump started on exercising and motivated that is the place to be. That board rocks. I powerlift and I am competing tomorrow as a matter of fact for the first time since before my surgery. I am nervous!! But it's a good nervous! I am glad you found Jaimee and the support group there. She's a sweetie! We have one at OSU too if you would like to swing by ours as well, let me know I would be happy to send you the info. As you said, you ARE one of the lucky ones. I need not say more. Hey there miz Suzie! I knew you would find this lovely lil message board as charming as I do. Aren't these people on here just peaches? Did you have a nice Easter? I have been running my bunz off all weekend. We celebrated my son's 8th birthday too. I made him a cake using splenda and it turned out splendid! hA !! How's that for a silly play on words?
