Dr. David L. Schumacher

I have been lurking on this site for about a month. My PCP has encouraged me to check into WLS which I am doing. I have attended 2 physician presentations and have a third scheduled. One was with Dr. Schumacher. He is from Kettering Bariatrics. I can find no information about him. Has anyone had surgery with him? Does anyone know about him? Thank you in advance. I live in Beavercreek, Ohio and have Anthem insurance. Thanks also for all the advice and information I have read on this site. Marcie

Looks like we are in the same boat! Dont know where to have surgery done at? I have went to one seminar with the wish center, but i am looking into kettering medical center, with Dr. Mcguire. I have not heard of Dr. Schumacher though. Contact me if you would like. Tammy

KMC has an entire wing devoted to Bariatric Patients with well trained nurses and it is brand new, only like a year and a half old. Whatever dr. you choose, make sure that they will be doing the surgery in a place you feel safe and that will meet your needs. I've not really heard anything about Dr. Schumacher but you may want to try to see if his office has support group meetings and go to one of them, talk to his patients...they'll be honest with you.
