Get to know you #3 + TGIF!
If these are lame today, just yell at me, I had to be at work very early this morning. I'm ready to go home, but the clock says 4 more hours. But I dont have to work this weekend.. YAY!
1. Are you married + how long, single, divorced, engaged?
2. Do you have any nicknames? Who gave them to you and was there a reason.
3. Is there something about you that people would never believe, unless they really knew you?
4. What has been your most memorable vacation?
1. Single/divorced, seems like forever now, I'm a bit too fiesty for most, I have quite the ornery streak. bwahahaha I'm also quite picky, all I ask is for a decent man with morals, that is employed, that isn't a drunk/druggie, who will love me for me and loves G_D, is that too much to ask? or all the good guys are married, gay..
2. MooOOommmmm, obviously by my children...lol Sunshine also, by a friend years ago, because he said I had such a great dispostion. Oh and Vic.. half of everyone does that, cuts my name in half, which I totally dislike. My name is VickiE don't forget my dang E guys...lol Also a few choices ones by people that don't like me, but it's there loss and I could care less!!
3. I'm actually pretty shy, until I get to know you..especially around men. I can be quite quiet also. But, I do speak up for causes I believe in and myself. I have been known to fight city hall and am an advocate for childrens rights.
4. It has to be the year I was 14 and my father who was raising 5 of us children alone, got an RV, put us all in it and we drove from Toledo west to IN, IL, WI, Canada and we went all around the great lakes, came back through Maine, NY, PA, back to Ohio.
What made it memorable, well live alone in 27 ft with 4 siblings and a redneck father, who'd rather "drive through" then stop anywhere along the way. On that trip, I also got my monthly friend and had to ask my father for supplies, I'm the oldest and wasn't sure how Dad would handle it. While in Canada, my sister and I were yelling out the window, "Parle vous Francies" (sp) duh, like we were the only english speaking people around, but what did we know. And my father getting so bent, after looking for just peanut butter in a French only speaking town. What a beautiful trip, around all the lakes!
We also had other of those "drive though" vacations one in FL where we got on the bridges between the keys in that RV and got caught up in a Hurricane, felt like the whole dang thing was going to blow over.
1. Yes I am married... Our 10 year will be December 16th
2. My father called me "Monk" ever since I was a little girl... I played alot of sports in school and I could always hear him yelling, "Go MONK" !! I learned to live with it... He wasnt going to give it up...
3. hummmm.... I have a tatoo on my ankle... I am very professional and work in a professional enviorment and wear pants 99.9% of the time... Usually when I wear a skirt, people are totally shocked... College can do alot including tatoo's
4. My husband and I went on a cruise last April... It was amazing... I had always dreamed on going on a cruise... when the ship left port in Miami I just stood there and cried... My husband didn't know what was wrong and I told him that my dream came true... We are going again next year... After going on a cruise there is no other vacation you will want to go on...
Are you married + how long, single, divorced, engaged? I am married, it will be 22 years this June 25th.
2. Do you have any nicknames? Who gave them to you and was there a reason. My Uncle has always called me Slim ( geez do you think that is sarcastic)!!!!
3. Is there something about you that people would never believe, unless they really knew you? I am a big cry baby. Most people probably think I am a toughie, but I am really a big marshmallow. I, too, have a tattoo on my leg of a tiger, I don't think to look at me people would guess that.
4. What has been your most memorable vacation? My Mom and Dad suprised my husband and me with a cruise for Christmas a couple years ago. My brother and his girlfriend, Mom and Dad, Aunt and Uncle, and cousin and his wife went too. I agree there is nothing like a cruise. They are the best!!!
. Are you married + how long Married for 19 years, divorced and happy for 4 years. But my Ex and I are best friends still and talk daily. I love him and he loves me, but we are just better apart.
2. Do you have any nicknames? Rainy Rainy Tootsie Annie. My sister and brother gave me the name. My real name is Loraine, so they took the rain from there. But it has been shortend over the years and is just Rainy now.
3. Is there something about you that people would never believe, unless they really knew you? How bad my heart really is. I dont want people I love to worry about me, so I try to appear as normal and unaffected by my illness as possible. Even when I know I am in heart failure, I quietly put myself in the hospital and handle things. I just hope I can let people help me post surgery.
4. What has been your most memorable vacation? The last summer I traveled with my parents after I graduated. We had a motor home and traveled for 3 months all over the country. We visited every state except Hawaii and went into Canada, Manatoba, Alaska, Nova Scotia. It was awesome and I felt so fortunate to of been able to see so many beautiful places, and have that time with my parents
1. Yes, was married on 8-23-2003 to my wonderful husband, Tom. I have 2 step children: Jennifer, 21 and Kyle 18. We also have a spoiled rotten Boston Terrier named Killer and 2 tuxedo cats named Buddi and Oreo.
2. Jillybean, was given that in high school and it has stuck ever since
3. I guess what most people find shocking is that I am a licensed funeral director/embalmer. Not in that profession anymore but I do know how to do it!
4. My best vacation was about 2 years ago when my fiance' then and I went to Ocean City, Maryland and met upwith my sister and her husband for a week. I love that place. My dream is to go on a cruise though. Maybe once I hit goal, that could be a gift for me!
Okay dokay smokay pokay here we go again!
1. Yes, I am married to my Prince Charming. October 19th 04 was 3 years. I was married twice before, the first time is my children's sperm donor the second was, well, I can't say here ... But I have found my soul mate and very very happy.
2. Yes, a few... Valbloata ~ from my brother when we were kids...always fun to make fun of the fat kid, esp. if she's your sister. Cooterhooters by Earl (long story there, that's another discussion panel in itself) and currently "Diesel" also by Earl because I weight train hard core like the guys!
3. Hmmmm this is a toughy since I am almost like an open book...too open sometimes. I think maybe it would be the powerlifting, that I am an American record holder in the SHW class, and that I was also an avid archer and have won several trophies in Competitive 3D Archery Tournaments. I have also placed in the IBO tourney that is held every year at Hocking College. I have a tatoo too, ugly ugly ugly...reminds me of my 2nd ex husband...
4. It would be the vacation that Earl took me to Niagra Falls when we were beginning to be a serious relationship. No one had ever taken me anywhere, and he had suprised me already with a trip to the Cabins in the Hocking Hills (that counts as memorable too!) But the trip to Niagra was when he got down on one knee and proposed to me. It was so beautiful and after that we enjoyed watching the colors behind the falls that night. No one had ever treated me so wonderful, and no one has since. That's when I knew I had found the perfect person for me. There were also other memorable events that weekend, but I can not share those on a "G" rated board!
