OMG!! FINALLY approved!

Pam, Congratulations!!! This is SO WERD!!! I too have Medical Mutual...I was denied in September 2004...I have been battling Med. Mut. with the help of my lawyer....they called ME on Sat. March 12 at 9 a.m. to tell me that the external review had overturned the denials!!! I am SOOO HAPPY for you, and me ! I started the screening process at OSU in Jan. of 2004 and now I can finally meet with the surgeon to schedule my date! I agree with you 100%...every one out there, PLEASE keep fighting! My biggest problem was giving in to my self-doubt...that somehow I didn'y "deserve" this. With the help of friends and my lawyer, I was able to keep the courage to fight. As a side note, I ended up having x-rays taken of all my joints to send in to the external review board...that had to help! Liz Odland Hillsboro

Hi Liz! WOW!! Something is definitely wierd at MMO!! When I called my surgeon's secty and told her, she said that for some reason, ALL their recent denials are being overturned. She told me that they had a big meeting and the higher-up people at MMO didn't know that the lower people on the chain were denying one claim after another, so they began looking into things and "VOILA!!"...here you and I are...on the receiving-end! YAY!! GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!! Keep me posted on your success!! Congrats and hugs! Pamela
