What can I expect when I go for my consultation? I know I will be weighed, etc. But what else? What are some good questions to ask? How long does it take? Should I schedule a consultation first or what? I have medicaid and I was already told that they will cover wls under certain criteria, which I think I will meet. What do I do, gang?

Ashlee - I am just begining this journey also. The first thing I was guided to do is to attend a free seminar. I have done that and found it to be helpful. I too would be very intetrested in answers to the questions about a consulation. I have my first appointment with a sugeon for a consultation on 3/11. I am very excited and would like to get things moving so any information that would assist in that process would be very helpful! Have a Great Weekend!!!

Where are you guys planning to go? It really depends on who you are going with as to how the program is structured. I went to the free seminar at St. Vincents in Cleveland (much closer to me that Columbus) and am going to a consult appt with Dr Ben-Meir for Lap. I would be curious in general just to know what kind of things to expect. Would also like suggestions on those questions that I should ask that I won't think of until I walk out. You know the old "darn it I should have asked...... or I wish I would have though of that when I saw the doctor...." and so on. Thanks for you help! Stacey
