Surgery Scheduled!

I am so excited. My open RNY is scheduled for march 15th. I am very happy but nervous. I have been working on this for three years. I was able to wrap it around my spring break so I will only have to use a few sick days. (hopefully) I know I should wait till summer but I am so ready now that it is worth the extra effort to take it easy and heal fast.

I'm on March 15th too. Like you I'm excited and nervous. I started to do this over a year ago and chickened out. I started the entire process this year on January 17th and my doctor's office did the rest. I have Dr. Kerlakian in Cincinnati and him and his staff have been awesome. Every time I think about how close the date actually is, I get butterflies, to the point to where I'm almost sick. I'll probably ******vous wreck by the day of surgery, but oh well I'll get over it. Good for you too!! Maybe if we keep in contact and support each other the nerves won't get the best of us. I keep making list of things I need to buy to have on hand, things I need to clean in my house, things I need to do to prepare for my leave at work and things I need to get so I have something to do. You guessed it I am a list maker. I think if I stay busy than time will go fast and I will et through this. okay on more time YIKES!! Really good luck and I totally understand about being excited and sick too.
