Howdy All!! I was wondering if anyone (post op) has used VitaMist? I was at Walmart yesterday and they had it on clearance for $1.00 , regular $16.97.($19.95 on their website) ( I bought all they had) I've noticed that on this site there is an advertisement for it at the top of the page, but wondered if anyone had actually used it or any Dr's. have recommended it to their patients? Thanks for any info you may have for me!! I'm trying to be prepared if I get approved for the surgery!! Anyway I am not one to pass up a good deal either!! LOL! Tabitha

Hi Tabitha. My dr. gave me a sample on my first post-op visit. I haven't used it, yet because I stocked up on Centrum chewables, but am running out, so I'm going to give it a try. My point is that the dr. must have thought it was something 1/2 way decent to give it out.... My best wishes to you on getting an approval. My surgery was October 27, 2004 and I'm down 71 lbs. and already feel like a new person - the energy is unreal! Take care!

WOW WENDY............71 lbs in less then 4 months.........I"m soooooooo jealous and envious!! LOL! I can't wait to be on the loosing side!! Thanks for the info on the Vitamist, I tried using it today, but did all 8 mists at one time, didn't read the directions.......says to do 2 mists at a time 4 times a day. Its not the best tasting stuff in the world, but I know if I would've only did 2 at a time it wouldn't have been so bad....it was the 8th squirt that got me!!!! Oh well!! Thanks a bunch for the post and info and GREAT JOB loosing!! God Bless ~Tabitha~

Thanks Tabitha - I still have a long way to go, but feel better than I have for several years. You'll get there - just keep the faith and praying. Take care!

I use it concurrent with a multi vitamin but I would not recommend it by itself as your sole source of vitamin supplement. I know of a woman who used it faithfully and she is having major vitamin issues. She used to live by it now does not recommend or use it any longer. To my knowledge there is no scientific proof that it works and is all it is cracked up to be. But if you have a good surgeon with great post op follow up, then you will have your vitamin levels monitored closely and you will know if its working Best of Luck to you!
