Cedar Point Update!!

Ok I have most everything in order and will be posting details in a few days but have a couple questions for all of you planning on attending: We need a group name, so lets all post our suggestions and the one with the most votes will win but I need a group name soon so that when I am getting quotes I will have a group name for the group LOL: Also I am finding that hotel rates for those of us are sort of high for the first week of aug due to being the last part of the peak season, but that is the best time to go for most of us because before that it is way to hot and after that it is too cold. Also a lot of people have stated the first week of aug would be best for them with their work and for those that have just had their surgeries they would be (hopefully) small enough to ride the rides by then, but if not no worries cause there will still be fun. As of right now the cheapest rate is 89.95 for a room per night at the sleep inn but the owner of that one also owns the Quality inn and suites which is 109.00 per night but they will through in a hospitality room for all of us to get together in and mingle and they have a bowling alley attached and he will throw in some free bowling (he is also willing to keep the pool open to 2am and open it at 6am due to the size of our group). These rates are during the week. Also at this hotel is a bar/resturaunt attached with gambleing and other amenities. My son and I stayed at this hotel last year when we went to Cedar Point and it is a wonderful hotel. But this so far is the cheapest that I am finding. Anything on the weekend is in upwards of 129.00 or more per night...most of us will need two nights and some will need one night so my thought is to do this during the week (maybe Tues, and wed.) the first week of aug. So I would also like to take a vote on this: Would you rather go during the week, or on the weekend? Cedar Point prices are the same for either but the hotel is what has the difference in price.

another thing people might want to think about weekday vs weekend is the weekends are alot more busy then weekdays and like she said hotels are cheaper

Hi Connie, I agree with everyone else that we should go during the week as it will be less crowded and somewhat cheaper to room there....I don't care what hotel we register at..but the one you have checked out sounds pretty nice......for those who have campers and tents..of course we could let them do their thing.....I myself don't have either a tent or a camper...and i hate bugs.......ewww...so i am keeping my butt indoors to sleep....lmao..... Ohio Chapter of Obesisty help sounds good.......but my vote for motto would be something like......I'm a Loser and Loving it!.....or something equally as catchy and short.... I cannot wait to finally be able to get into those seats that have been way too small for me in the past..... Did you check the campgrounds to see if there are any cabins available to rent? SOmetimes they are cheap and you can bring your own food to keep costs down also..... Later....Patty

that logo sounds great for all of you who have had the surgery but what about those of us who haven't? but would still like to go and meet and mingle so would be nice to find something suiting both sides

My brother lives near there, but I don.t know if he would like that many beautiful people at once. also contact emergency stations at park of our plans due to the delicate health of some of our losers. Remember Aug. will be hot.hot.hot. you are right anything near the park is high, did you check with the Ohio tourist groups. Did we get any discount for a set of romms also make sure elevator not STAIRS. You are doing a great job, looking forward to seeing you Lady Bird
