OT Holiday Inn

This isn't really WLS related I don't think but I just came back from the SchoolNet conference in Columbus and I have to share my horrible experience about the H***d** Inn in Columbus. They left the door to my room opened by turning the deadbolt so the door would not shut while I was at the conference. My laptop was out in plain sight and could have been stolen. When I went to complain all I received was a sorry you feel that way attitude. Maybe it was because I am heavier right now or maybe I don't feel as good about myself but I feel cheated by what I used to think was a good company. I even pointed out to them that they would have held me responsible had someone else trashed the room while I was oput. Thanks for letting me vent

Hi Jack, Sorry about your bad experience at the Holiday Inn. THe hubby and i were traveling a few years ago and stopped at one in WVA for the nite. THe next morning we woke up and found our room had been invaded (yes invaded totally) by ants.....all over the chairs and floor by the window. It was horrible and i was pissed....(sorry)....needless to say i sent the hubby to the hotel desk and he demanded to see the manager who then proceeded to give us a run around.....(said it was the bottom floor and what did ya expect)...to make a long story short, we demanded our money back..they gave half back and offered us their breakfast plan. He told them they were nuts.....we were not eating there after being invaded by ants.....We have never gone back to any Holiday Inn......we did make a call to the head office and complain but sadly, no response. I would call them and register a complaint just for the prinicipal of the thing. Good luck, Patty

Too bad that you had to experience such an ordeal. Thanks for the info, we travel alot and after hearing this we will be passing by and not using H***d** Inn. Thank you for sharing. If things like this don't get out then everything seems honky dory. We need to know these things. Lise
