By losing 160 lbs I --- 1. Now have the energy to exercise and not just keep my butt on the couch. 2. Now have the energy to shop for clothes in the NORMAL and not PLUS section. 3. Now have the confidence to not have people walk all over me. 4. Now have the energy to travel and do more than just go to a new restaurant. 5. Now have the confidence to wear the sexy black dress at my 20th class reunion and blow everyone away. 6. Now do not have to sleep 9-10 hrs a day but only 7-8 hrs a day to get energized. 7. Now am able to walk a 15 min mile. 8. Now feel more sexual and am able to do more sexually. 9. Now have the energy to play with my 2 yr old nephew. 10. Now no longer stuff my feelings with food.

You know, I don't think people realize those small things in life that non-obese people do and take for granted every single day. I remember the first time I painted my own toenails! You'd have thought that I won the lottery! Or could cross my legs when I sit down, or most monumentally when my daughter hugged me and said "mommy I can hug you all the way around" I think this surgery helps us to learn how to cherish those beautiful little moments in life. Too many people are missing out on those little joys. God bless you on your journey. Everyday is a new day of adventure for me. I am 19 months out, down about 125 pounds, weight training 4 days a week, and loving every waking day that I have. Even my bad days now are better than some of my good days when I was heavy! Take care Hugs, Valerie

Hi Autumn: I read your story the other day about your insurance problems and was just wondering if you have had any luck finding a provider? Also, I too look forward to: 1. Going to cedar point (I want to take my daughter and ride every ride). 2. Having energy so that I am not saying no to so many things my kids ask to do 3. Being able to shop from Clearance racks and actually have some variety to choose from 4. Having the self confidence to walk into a room without trying to be un-noticed and having that little voice in my head saying they are looking at you because you are sooo big 5. Being able to do most activities without worrying about the weight limit or will I fit or what if I fall, etc etc etc! You are all so right that people don't truly understand the little things and take them for granted! Good luck to all!!

My 2 main things..... 1) Find a shirt that I like and then look for my size, instead of looking for an XXXL and then finding a style that doesn't make me look like a round piece of fruit. 2) Be able to hang from the chandelier when the wife and I get freaky.

ROTFL...oh, Eric! #2 is fabulous! That put the biggest smile on my face I have had all day. By the way, if the chandelier is in the dining room...everyone has been warned-DON'T EAT AT ERIC's! Thanks for the grin!
