I need help with Insurance

I have not applied with my insurance company yet I go and see the doctor on Tuedsay 1-22-05 and I have medical mutual I heard they are really strict on past attempts of weight loss I do have one that is on record at doctors but other then that I have attempted on my own so if anyone has some answers for me please e-mail me at [email protected] THANKS SO MUCH

I had MMO when I had my WLS and was approved in 18 days. You might want to take a look at my profile page and look at the letter I wrote MMO. I also had tried EVERYTHING out there. I just wrote it down told what I started at, who much I lost then how much I gained back. Good Luck, Robin W

Hey Sheryl, Just wanted to reply to your post and tell you of my problems with Medical Mutual. I have been trying to get approved since last summer. I sent all the info that was required and waited and waited. Finally they sent a letter saying in order to approve, they wanted more information. I supplied that, and then waited another couple months. Of course then came a letter of denial. They said not enough documentation of non surgical weight loss attempts. Believe me I have tried every diet known to man, and it was still not good enough. Medical Mutual is being very picky these days and although they don't tell you this, will not approve you without a 6 month supervised diet. I am in my 3rd month now of mine with my pcp, but am very angry over all the time I wasted. If I had known they needed the supervised diet, I would have started it long ago.
