Cedar Point Survey --- please read
I was looking into a family vacation for myself and my son and thought wow this would be a great thing for everyone....
My thought is (and I am willing to lead this if it is ok)...to go under the group rates and do two day slide and ride passes...and work something out with one of the resorts on rooms....(maybe they will give us a group discount and a couple of floors LOL)...anyway the passes would give us all two days of fun in the amusment park and the water park (don't know prices yet, but do know the more there is the less the price)....I have studied up on all of this and am willing to head it and get the tickets and individual information to each and every person (along with my mother Dianne Harris).
I see everyone doing cruises and cook--outs and such things and thought this would be a wonderful idea because while reading a lot of the member pages I found that one of the main things that people want to do again or for the first time is ride roller coasters (me especially, i love them)...this would give the opportunity for those who have lost enough to do that...and for those who have not lost enough to do it yet to have a great time with other rides or just spending time with family and other great and wonderful people!! I just had my surgery last week, but am hoping in a few months to be able to ride those costers....So I was thinking this could be done the first part of Aug....but if I can get enough people that want to do this I will confirm the actual date and everything else in enough time for people to set everything with their employers and family. IF we do decide to do this and it goes well then maybe it could be an anual thing at a different park every year!!!
Thanks and please let me know your thoughts on here or directly to my e-mail [email protected] also please state approx. # of people (adults and children seperate that would be interested in attending with you) this way I can get a general idea of how many there will be so i can get a close approx. price. Also I will make sure to post by the end of the week or beginning of next week on yes or no if we are going to do this or not....Looking forward to hearing from all of you!!

A 2-day pass for groups of 15 or more for both parks is $64 per adult.
The regular admission for 1 day is 40.95 for C.P and the Soak City is $67.95, these are online prices. 2 days is a great deal at a group rate! However beforewarned, the hotels in the area are quite expensive and I am not sure if they do group rates in the peak season.
A tenative 2 adults add to your list, my son and I.
My work might be rough to get around for a couple of days, can't make promises until I actually know my schedule there. There is no one to take my place when I'm not there, so it really has to fit in the schedule.

i so love you idea for the day when i can ride again i've lived here my whole life used to spend my summer there and now all i can do is look across the lake at the point and see the great big rides and wish someday i can ride them again i sure many many people will love a trip like this
Hey Connie,
This is a great idea. Especially since I live right here in Sandusky or people who aren't from around here say,"Cedar Point, Ohio". Wouldn't be a far trip.. Plus I used to work there in my early 20's. Cedar Point has a lot of deals, most of them having to do with volume. The more people the less they will charge. The real problem is going to be hotels. It's outrageous here in the summer time. We're talking upwards of $200 a night for places like The Comfort Inn we're not talking about The Hilton by any means. And unless you pay in advance, you have reserved rooms, not rates. Price goudging at it's finest. Also keep in mind most of the hotels are owned by 3 or 4 families and they are in it for the money. If you need any info or if I can help in anyway, please let me know. But not on Feb. 23. I'll be busy having my surgery..

yes very true to get a hotel around here in the summer is very diffucult and very expensive so make sut to plan the date and start looking for lodging asap!! and try to buddy up cause it's gonna be expensive i live out on the west end of the city and there is a motel out this way that doesn't seem as expensive i could check into it maybe that would be cheaper now that i think of it let me know if ya need anyhelp with any numbers or such
Hi Connie,
This is a wonderful idea......It has been years since i was able to ride any amusement park rides. Since I am down almost 90+ lbs i would really look forward to a 2 day park adventure. You can count my hubby and I in. I will ask my youngest who is coming home from clooege this summer if he wants to go along...then it would be 4 daluts altogether.....As far as lodging is concerned...maybe we could get a better rate somewhere out of the park? I don't mind having to drive to and from if the price is right. At Disneyland we drove about 30 minutes each way and it was alright with us. Either way..count us in...just let us know when so we can accommodate my work schedule......Great Idea.....Patty
