Dr Curry Question
What a great time to find out that Dr Curry posts here, because I came to the Ohio forum for the sole purpose of asking a question about his practice. I have my first consult with him on the 24, and I noticed something in his paperwork that I recieved today "to prevent infection and promote rest for our patients, children under 14 years of age are not permitted on the surgical weight loss unit. There will be no exceptions." My children are all under 14, does this mean that I will not be able to see them from the morning of surgery untill my release from the hospital? I don't know how I could do that. I feel it's important to see them after surgery and reassure them that mom is doing well.
TJ,
This is the hospital's policy, not mine. Most hospitals have the same age restrictions, whether they enforce them or not is another matter. I'm sure we could make arrangements for you to see your kids, but I don't think they would let them hang out in the room the whole time, that's the idea.
We can look into it when you come for your consult.
