United Healthcare Select Plus POS/ WCI Steel employer

Does anyone have United Healthcare Select Plus POS insurance? My coverage is under my husband who works for WCI Steel. Has anybody under this been approved lately? How if so? How? They told me it was a written exclusion. I am praying someone sees this that has had this problem and overcame it. Please need help!!! God Bless

Melvina, I have UHC Select Plus POS and was approved within 1 week of the paperwork being submitted; however, my employer did not have an exclusion. The exclusion is employer driven, not determined by the insurance carrier. I would double check the wording of the exclusion and go from there. Mine is still unofficial until I get my letter, but I have UHC Choice Plus and it took me about 10 days total, 8 actually, but 10 until I found out...Good luck. Once it is submitted by your surgeon, call your Care Coordination department to check on the status of your submission...that way they know you are really interested...One of the CS Reps told me last week that it is good for us to keep calling in, it keeps the Review team on their toes.
