Have you gotten to a point or can you ever imagine getting to a point where food is not one of the top most important things in your life? I remember before surgery, always planning my next meal. After surgery food has moved down on my list but it is still very important to me. I wish I knew the magic cure to keep it in my life only as a way to survive. Has anyone got to that point? Is it possible? Cheryl

Actually I have. Funny thing is I am obsessive about food in a different way I guess. I know what I need, I buy it, I eat it. But, because I am weight training, I am always looking at how I can get more protein in for muscle rebuilding. I just keep in mind that I need to fuel the engine, that's all. Like a car needs gas. I enjoy eating different things, but I guess I don't let it control me anymore because I am trying to replace that with different things in my life. Does that make sense? I am more concerned about getting that protein in pre and post workout. Those are my obessesion, along with getting the fluid in. I don't know how to advise you to get to that point? I wish I had some kind of words or something to get you to that. While food does need to be a priority, because you gotta keep the car running. Sometimes I think becoming redundant in what you eat makes it more like a routine, than something to constantly mull over. We have too many choices in the food department these days and that is what makes it so hard. I just pretty much eat the same thing everday. Boring, but I know it works. I mean, sure I change up or add something once in a while, but for the most part it is the same ol same ol and I focus on other things. Lordy that was rambling wasn't it? Val

Did you read about my possible mini-stroke? I am seeing a neurologist on Wednesday. Just another bump in the road...the good news is my new compression garments are in so I will be able to exercise more.

OMG....no I did not hear or read it. I have been traveling constantly, but that is no excuse. We should be able to keep better in touch. You will have to email me and tell me what happened. Are you doing ok? What caused it? I was just talking about you the other day when I went to see Jeremy and Roberta. BTW....I love your picture. Cheryl
