Sister Georgie
Well, I got to see Sister Georgie today. She was admitted today and her surgery is tomorrow.
Unfortunately there was some type of delay with a room/bed and she ended up sitting in the admission waiting for a few hours. I would have been hopping mad But she was just taking it in stride. She was in a private room by the time I caught up with her.
She seemed in great spirits. So tomorrow morning she will be on the losing side with us! She will be going to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and most likely be on a vent for a few days. I will try to pop in and check on her and let everyone know how she's doing.
I told her I would post for her, so keep her in your prayers for an uneventful successful surgery!
Val
You all are entirely welcome!
By the time I left today, she was still in surgery. So far everything was ok. But, I haven't heard anything yet. She did say that the doc told her she would be in Surgical ICU and most likely on a vent for a couple of days.
As soon as I know anymore I will let you know.
Thanks for the prayers guys and you know all you have to do is give me hollar! I will be there told hold your hand and give you a BIG HUG!!
Valerie
hello valerie,
first, i would like to thank you for visiting jeremy he doesn't remember you coming, so if you would like to drop by again he would much appreciate it. now that he is off pain meds full time, he will be able to enjoy your company. i will be praying for sister georgie. is she georgeanne carter? also, is she here at osu? if so, i would like to pay her a visit, since she and jeremy may be neighbors. i understand the wait she probably had. when we arrived on november 18th, we had an admission time set, they took 4 hours!! then, they gave us a room with a bed that had a maximum of 150lbs! so we waited an additional hour for a bed for jeremy! i am sure that she is doing just fine. god is with her also, amy thank you for posting about jeremy. this is the first time i've been to the ohio message boards. take care.

Hi Roberta!!!
You bet I will be back to see Jeremy. I didn't stay too long with him, he was very tired and the effects of the meds I am sure didn't help. He's a sweetie.
Yep that is the one and same. She pretty much went through the same thing. Sat in admissions for 5 hours. They need to get that stuff a little better organized in my opinion, but I am sure it was purely unintentional.
You know, Sister Georgie asked me about Jeremy the two times I saw her in the hospital.
Welcome to the Ohio board! Come back often. We all have been worried, praying and looking forward to posts about his journey. If you would like to let me know when you are going to be at the hospital, I can try to zip over between my patients.
Take care! I am hoping to meet you soon!
Hugs,
Valerie
hello. i tried to see georgeanne last night, but they wouldn't let me. i asked the sicu nurses and they said because i wasn't a family member, i couldn't meet her. i asked them to ask her if it was okay first, and they said they would, but never got back to me. we are in the micu on the 11th floor now. hopefully not for long...
