put some more pics in my profile
Hi guys. I finally managed to get my scanner working properly (after having to remove and reinstall the software! ACK!!!) and scanned in a pic of me from October 2003 when I was at my heaviest weight of 320 and then a current picture of me taken Thursday night. I was shocked when a mom at my kids' school didn't recognize me the other night. She has been around me enought times to know who I am. She stopped and squinted to make sure it was really me. Then she asked if it was me to make sure. I had to laugh. I really couln't see much of a change by just looking in the mirror until I put the two pictures side by side. I have a total loss of 85# from when that picture was taken.
Isn't she lovely? Isn't she beeauuuooootiful... ok, ok, I know I can't sing so I will stop! Very nice! Great job sweetie!!! Let me know when you will be in my neck of the woods at OSU so we can meet up!
That is the wildest feeling isn't it? I know when it first happened to me, I had said "Hi" to someone in the hallway and they just kinda said "Hi" back and kept walking...well of course I thought I had done or said something to tick them off, come to find out they didn't even know it was me!! You still feel like you on the inside, but sure don't look like you on the outside. There was a resident that hadn't seen me in about 6 months and she recognized my voice and flipped. She couldn't believe how much I had changed.
That is the greatest feeling in the world. Just wait....it gets better all the time. This is the most amazing experience of your life. People that meet me now, and find out I've had surgery don't believe it at all. I love the comment of "you don't look like you've had bariatric surgery" Well duh? I usually laugh and pull out the pictures. Great fun. I enjoy that to the hilt. And daggone it we should. We all deserve that. Lord knows we have been through enough of what I refer to as T & D (trauma and drama) in our lives!
So, keep up the great work! You look mah-velus... Did I mention you have a beautiful smile?!! Never stop smiling Jaimee!
Hugs,
Valerie
You look GREAT!!!!! Awesome job!
As my angel, lucky me , I hope I have great success like you.
I promise I am going to talk with you and I would like to plan to meet you some night for dinner or maybe lunch someday. My treat.
Another thing I would like to do and I was wondering if you would too, is to go to a meeting at Ohio State University sometime. I could meet you there and the new TV star!
Keep up the good work!
Cindy

You look so good. You are doing great. You should be so proud of yourself losing 85#'s. I am sorry I have not talked to you lately. I have been busy at work. We got behind during the holidays. Well I have 6 weeks left on my supervised diet. I hope to be a post op here real soon. We can go shopping together for new clothes. We can bring Valerie C along with us. Have a girls day out.
Keep up the good work!
Take Care and God Bless!
