This is true Cathy. Some of my insured patients have complained because they know our cash price is $17,500 and their insurance company was billed twice that. This is because cash prices are steeply discounted to make it affordable for patients with no coverage, and insurance companies pay 50 cents on the dollar at best. So if the insurance company was billed $17,500, they would only pay the hospital $8750. Dr. C The Deaconess Surgical Weight Loss Center Cincinnati, Ohio (513) 559-2545

Actually, Some of Dr C's insured patients was told that the price was $17, 500 and this was for everything . So when they get a bill for 20 to 30 k of course they are going to wonder why, who wouldnt. However, I am grateful that I had the surgery and grateful that I had the best Doctor ever. I wouldnt change a thing. My care during and after is worth every dime!! : ) Love ya DR C! Jackie

I agree you should ask the insurance co who they've got in network that works under your cap. Also keep in mind that Dr's in this area get the lowest reimbursements from insurance co's in the country!!! They got big med school bills to pay so they do inflate the fees to insurance co a bit to get paid as much as possible (I ain't mad at cha). KEEP PLUGGIN' and we'll keep praying for you!
