Hi all, I need an injection of motivation. Had my surgery at end of Oct., 2004 & lost 25# the first month then stopped. The scales have been wavering between loosing only 2-5 # since! My schedule is so demanding between 2 jobs & owning a business (alot of sit down work w/ intense thinking)that I have trouble remembering to drink water & eat small freq. meals. I am doing better w/ water & taking small snacks with me in the car but that isn't good enough. I need to do better & I need to exercise. Finding time is one thing but how to start is another. I need to begin somewhere. I've been a couch potato soooo long! And this plateau is lasting too long! Where should I start? Any advise is welcomed & very appreciated! Thanks so much! Diane

Hi Diane, Your first month lose was so great. Congratulation. Give your body the chance to heal and adjust. I do have to say that the exercise is the on component that is missing. I favor walking myself. My working life sounds like yours. I carry bottles of water with me daily. I know how many bottles I need to drink to get my fluids in and it helps. I had surgery in April and started walking outside right away. With winter here it has become a nightmare for me. I recently bought a dvd by Leslie Sansone. It is walking workout. She has several kinds and you can start out slow and work your way to the more intense. Try it first thing in the morning. I get up 30 minutes early to workout. Be proud of what you have accomplished and Good luck on your future. If I can be of any help please feel free to email me. Deb

You will be fine. I have been at 83 lbs for 6 weeks. It takes time and then you will see a change. I had mine 6 months ago and still havent exercised. I joined a few places but havent found what I like. Every once in a while you can stop losing for a long time and then it starts again. Dont worry the time passes anyway. Keep us posted on your progress and relax.it will come off, Love Cindy

Hi Diane, I wondered how you were doing. When you are at your store try walking around when you are on the phone. Even just making circuits around the clothing racks will help some. I agree with the other answer the water and moving are crucial. Good luck from #94

Don't beat yourself up. BTW How is your sleep. I just read a study where people who are sleep deprived have a much harder time. Are you getting enough in with working the two jobs. I know since I started working the two jobs my eating has gone to hades in a handbasket. Just keep trying.
