I wanted to share (more like scream it from the top of my lungs) that at my 2 week post op appt I was down 26 pounds! How miraculous is that? I am just sooo thankful to my surgeon, Dr. Calvin Selwyn from UC physicians in West Chester Ohio...he saved my life! I normally dont post, but since I am post op I want to start now that I got some experience with WLS. I had an uneventful surgery with a wonderful painless recovery. My pain level never went over a 1. I just ask why I never did this several years ago. I should have taken that leap of faith!!! Happy New Year--I can finally say I have alot to look forward to! LIsa, I am so glad you have decided to start posting! I have e-mailed a few times with Dr. Selwyn and he seems like a very caring person. You have yourself a good surgeon from what I can tell. Doesn't the weight loss feel wonderful??? Yesterday I pushed the protien and water a LOT and I am down 3 more pounds!! YAY!!!! That really seems to be the key to losing the weight. That's awesome that you had very little pain. I had more than I had expected, but I am doing pretty good now. I still get tired very easily, but I guess that was part of tha package. Keep up the good work and keep posting on here!!!! Hugs, Jaimee

Hey Kitty...I am pretty heavy to begin with so I think that helps with a lil more weight coming off i think, but really I am trying to stick with deli turkey meat and cheese. I didnt stick long with puree. I am 3 weeks out and I am just chewing the heck out of turkey and cheese. I eat 4-5 times a day with 2 to 2 1/2 ounce settings. I pretty much am just doing turkey meat and cheese, however I also have some sausage chili, sugar free pudding, mashed potatoes, bean and bacon soup and cottage cheese in my fridge. I also do Carb Countdown chocolate milk for protein. There is 12 ounces in an 8 ounce glass and I am trying to do 4 glasses a day. If your further out than me and ur not eating protein filled meals then dont eat so many times a day. I have learned in my support group to try to eat on a schedule. I also am drinking tons of crystal light. I also am pretty active after my surgery so I think all in all that is helping. I had LAP RNY and I feel great---energy isnt quite 100% but then again it hasnt been for years, but all in all I fell great! How did you do on your weight loss? Lisa Durbin 416-390-?
