Happy New Year--My First Month Anniversary :cool
I haven't written much because in my opinion things went very very fast. My surgery was December first and it went off without much of a hitch. I guess they discovered some sleep apnea while I was on the table and recovering or something like that. But that is all gone now.
I am off all diabetic medications for a 1 month monitoring period. My sugar has maintained at between 92 and 127 for 2 weeks now. That is very exciting.
I had a little trouble with the pureed food part. One day, I had a meltdown. It all looked and smelled the same. My dietition was great help. I love the staff of OSU they are so helpful and caring. Dr. Needleman is great. I received great service from the staff. Bless them for giving me endless ice chips.
I am still having to learn to eat slowly. But I am finally getting my portions under control. Trying to eat all that protien seems next to impossible.
One thing I thought I would never say was that I lost 10 lbs over the holidays. This brings me up to a total of 42 lbs and I really havent started exercising yet. Yipppppeeee!!!
Well that is where I am. Good luck to all who are in preparation.
