Went to see Jeremy

Hi gang! I was finally able to go see Jeremy today. Sarah was on her way to Cleveland from Portsmouth, so she met up with me and we went to see him. His nurse was very gracious in letting us go back for a few minutes, unfortunately his family members weren't there, so I didn't get to meet any of them, but I am going to try to catch up with them soon. We stayed only 15 minutes, because I didn't want to over burden him. He needs every ounce of energy he has. Jeremy actually looks much better than I expected. He was still having his continual dialysis going, and numerous medications, and his TPN. Just from looking at his photo on line and him now, you can definately see weight changes. His vitals were stable, and his color was good. Bo is right about his grip! Really great considering what he's going through. It was hard to understand what he was trying to tell me, and I know it has to be much more frustrating for him. He was able to open his eyes a couple of times when we were there. The outpouring of love is evident on his walls. I told him that he has a lot of love and prayers out there, and that we just wanted him to rest, let his body heal and we will be praying and pulling him through this. I can't tell you how this impacted me. In just meeting him for the first time, looking into his eyes, I know that I have met a wonderful gentle soul. My heart ached for him laying there fighting for his life. My son is the same age as he is and that really hit home for me. Watching him struggle, wanting to fix it and make it better, wishing you could do something, anything, but feeling totally helpless in the meantime. It put so much into perspective. Sometimes I think we get so busy in our lives that we really need to stop and look around us. Take in all the people who are fighting everyday for their lives. Jeremy touched a part of my soul, and I hope and pray that he makes it through to touch other people as well. When I left, I climbed up on the step stool and leaned in to give him a kiss on the forehead, and when I did he gave me a little kiss on the cheek. He is an angel to be sure... So when you all hit your knees tonight, pray for Jeremy and thank GOD for all the blessings in this life, hug and kiss those you love and be sure to tell them that you do. Valerie

I agree 1,000% Val. Tell those you love that you love them, everyday. Never take anything for granted. I make sure to tell my best friends I love them all the time. So, Val, I love you!!! Hugs, Susie

Kimanne...beautiful name! Isn't this amazing the love from all over the USA! See, this is truly an amazing thing. I read that Bo is going to try to get over there Sunday. So, between everybody, hopefully we can keep the updates going, and keep the prayer wheel rolling! Val
