I'M APPROVED!!!

I called the insurance company today to check on the status of my approval request and customer care told me that I'M APPROVED!!! My approval letter was sent out yesterday, so BTC and I should be receiving them very soon. Now I just have to finish my pre-op requirements (EKG, sleep study) and I should be getting a date. Giving thanks and sending approval vibes to all of those still waiting.... Susan

Susan, congratulations! I'm sitting here in the waiting game myself and can't WAIT to make this post someday. Lol! I'm sending positive thoughts that your pre-testing goes well and you get scheduled very soon. I'm also going to BTC (Dr. Barbara) and have UHC Choice Plus - I just wondered about your approval process? I'm very anxious waiting for the approval. Did you have a good experience? Congratulations again!

Hi Jennifer, I hope you get your approval soon. I didn't have any problem with the approval process. About a week after my initial consultation with Dr. Stelmack, BTC submitted my insurance information. I called UHC Care Coordination about every other day to check on things, and when I called on the 27th, they told me I was approved and that my approval letter had been mailed. My experience so far with UHC has been positive all around. I've never had any problems with them, for any claims of any kind. Best of luck, and keep me posted Susan
