Its been ages since I've seen any of the regulars I love to read. Kitty, Nancy, Jaimee (I see you on the main messageboard once in a while), vickie, Heather, Michelle. Are you all super busy w/ Christmas. Kitty and Nancy (Drainbamaged...NOT I hope!) I know you both just got home recently and I hope you are feeling good. I'm getting nervous about next week but Christmas (and all this snow ) is helping me stay busy. Just wondered where everyone was and what everyone is doing. The main messageboard just isn't the same as our Ohio one!! Bev

Hi Bev, I bet you're getting nervous and excited about your day. Are you all ready to go? In the past week I have just begun to get some energy back to post on the MB. I was really wiped out at first. In fact, I had all these plans to work on my scrapbooks while I was recouperating. I thought I would get so much done on them but I have basically been doing a full-time job trying to get in the food and liquids. Between that and trying to exercise and the naps I take several times a day, I am pretty useless to get much accomplished. I am trying to finish my last minute wrapping and stuff for Christmas. I am in the process of making some no-sew fleece blankets for the kids (with lots of help from Aaron) I just hope I can finish them in time for Friday at bedtime. We always let our kids open one gift on Christmas eve. We thought it would be nice for them to have warm snuggly blankets to curl up with when the sugarplums start dancing around in their little heads LOL! What time is your surgery? Are you going to have somebody there with you at the hospital? Remember to try to move around as much as possible. It really will help you if you can do it at the hospital. It makes things easier when you get home. Also, if you can, get yourself one of those bamboo back scratchers. I used mine for lots of things while I was in the hospital. It was a real lifesaver. Hugs and prayers going your way! ~~Jaimee

Hi Jaimee! My surgery is at noon. I really wi**** was earlier but oh well. My hubby will be there but I'm still trying to work out the logistics to get my daughter back home for basketball practice on wed (8am unless they change it). I'm already feeling the "I don't want to be alone for 1 minute" thing so I'm sure I'll be a big bawl baby in the hospital. I'm going to try to get some rest the couple days after christmas and just rest and walk after surgery because I really need to come back to work on Monday the 3rd, even if its just for a few hours a day. The longer I wait, the farther behind I'll be because there is no one that does my job and its w-2 time. Yuck! My job is very easy, it will be fighting off the naps while I'm here that will be hard. Glad you are getting back in the swing of things I hope everyone else is just busy and all are getting along ok. Hugs Bev

Hi Bev! It is a privilege to have been missed by you! Sorry I have been a little lax about posting. And then when I tried to reply to your post yesterday, I got kicked off the Internet for the rest of the day ... That nervousness is just SOP I guess! I felt it big time. I was lucky to have a very sweet angel, Cathy Donaldson. She was very frank and encouraging - I leaned on her quite a bit! I am doing good but have had two minor complications ... developed a c-diff infection right after the surgery, but they put me on antibiotics right away so that did not become a problem. And I have one infected incision which I'm supposed to meet the doctor today for him to work on. His office is closed but he is very kindly opening the office for me. They say the procedure is simple (but I am such a chicken). Will close for now but will try to post again soon. Best wishes Kitty B. RNY 12/13/04 251 / 230

Not super busy with the holidays since I am doing no baking and don't have a lot of cash for presents, just kinda hanging around healing. I barely read the MB's and don't post a lot because I am still not used to having my behind fall asleep so fast. Of all the places I did NOT need to loose 1st (eyeroll) OUCH! Wishing you a wonderful Holiday and a problem free surgery with a speedy recovery! God Bless, Vickie
