Home From Surgery And Doing Great
I had my surgery (open RNY) on Friday around 3:00 p.m. Everything went well. I think it was all the prayers going out for me I was up and walking that evening. I never had a lot of pain and discovered that I did NOT like the effects of morphine (made me woozy and have weird dreams). I got home on Monday, the 20th around 1:30 pm. Hubby took me to Walmart today to fill my perscriptions and to take a small walk.
I have to say that this site has helped me so much in being prepared. Thank You all. God Bless, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Pauletta,
I am so glad to see you back here so soon on the MB. It is good to know everything went well. You have been and still are in my prayers. Remember to ease yourself back into things slowly. It is easy to get to feeling good and overdo it. Then you pay for it the next day. Let your hubbie do things for you and try to rest when you're not walking and sip sip sipping! Welcome back!!!
Take care,
Jaimee
I'm glad to hear you're doing well!!! Its a good thing you went to Walmart when you did, cuz you probably wouldn't make it now!!! I really hate snow, but that's not the topic here, lol.
If you need anything, let me know! I'm only what....2 minutes away?! Don't stress about the holidays, they'll pass and you won't miss anything. I was released from the hospital the day before Easter (after my surgery) and I thought I'd miss eating all of the food, but looking at it all made me queasy. Just remember to take it easy and don't overdo it.

Pauletta,
So happy to hear you are doing well! God hears our prayers.
I am still plodding around, pretty sore in the tummy but feel better each day.
I know what you mean about the morphine - I thought I was just sluggish after the surgery, but my sister said I was a little out of my head at the moment and also added that my hair looked lovely at the time - LOL!
Well keep up the good work and let me know how you are doing.
Best wishes
Kitty B.
