protein powders..vitamins..
I see a lot of products advertising they are powders that are high in protein or contain such & such vitamins. Some vitamins come in spray and chewable form and contain every vitamin known to man.
I know that people are reviewing them, but aren't they just reviewing the taste? I guess what I want to know is there a way of knowing if these products have and do what they say? Most are not made by namebrand companies. Most of them are fairly expensive. I just want to know what I'm buying.
PS I know of someone that sells a drink on the internet that will help you pass a drug test. They guarantee it. Don't buy it..I know it's a hoax.

Take a look at this website it is interesting and was started by someone that had bariatric surgery "bariatricsupplementsystem.com"......There is also a product called Nectar, it is kind of like koolaid of a power drink, type that in a search engine to find it. My daughter said that is is real good but she likes it diluted down some. In the instructions it makes it to thick.

I suppose the only way to know for sure would be to have labs before and after. I know for sure thatProLean MD vanilla protein powder works for me because I actually had that done. My protein was low pre-op, I used the product for 2 weeks and my numbers improved enough to pass muster to have surgery. I've heard the spray vitamins are not absorbed as well as others, but don't honestly know for sure. You could always ask your doc or nutritionist about specific ones. It's hard for me to believe some of the advertisements I see. I keep to what my doctor orders.
Cathy,
It is really difficult to find something good. I use Real Meals protein powder, Atkins Shakes, and EAS Shakes. As far as Vitamins go, I like the Vitamist Spray Vitamins, Real Meals Vitamins, and Vista Vitamins. So I sometimes change. But most or all the time right now, I am sticking with the spray vitamin. Mainly because of the ease of it. It was nice meeting you on Thursday night. You and your husband.

Thanks,
I have some samples of real meals. Luckily I have easy access to lab tests and maybe I will try the testing (before and after). I guess I was wondering if these companies have to register their products with the FDA or something. I noticed that Real Meals does have the required nutrient disclosures. Anyway, I will try to stick to the ones that people seem to like here on the forums.
PS Nice meeting you also Sandy. Hope to see you again
