Surgery Postponed

Hey Everybody, I was scheduled for surgery on Monday, Decenber 13th and it has been postponed until January 05. My spirits are kind of down but I believe everything happens for a reason. I'll post the details later on my profile ... but for now I'm going take a long nap so I can regroup. Have a great weekend! Georgeann

EVERYTHING does happen for a reason. look at it this way: at least you can celebrate the holidays in proper fashion and eat the really good foods that you won't be able to eat if your were post-op at christmas. theres always a good side to it too. keep smiling!!!

Hi Georgeann, I was also scheduled for Monday - and still may have the surgery then. But since my pre-admission EKG showed that I have had a heart attack, it may get cancelled. Won't know til Monday morning! We were set to be surgery twins - believe me, I am feeling for you! Hope you enjoyed that nap. I am about to take mine, as well. God bless you. Kitty B.

Hi Kitty, You have been such a sweetheart and I hate hearing that you had a heart attack but I'm glad that you are doing well. I really hope that your surgery is not delayed or postponed because it's not a good feeling. However, whatever happens I believe it is for our best. (only after I had a good long nap did I come to this conclusion). Be encouraged and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Georgeann

Oh Nooooo!!! Oh, this has to be a downer for sure!! But, you know, there is a reason for all of this. Truly, and we know that there is a plan, so keep your faith, and let it all work out. You know I am thinking and praying with you and for you. I hope you were able to take your nap and regroup! Hi Valerie, Thank you so much for checking in on me. I had the opportunity to rest my brain after the all of the events that resulted in my surgery being postponed. I prayed, rested and I now have peace about the entire situation. I will now move forward to prepare for WLS in Jan. 2005. I appreciate your thoughtfulness! Georgie, You know you are more than welcome! I got a chance to read the profile on all the went on, oh my gosh. That was just unbelievable. I just muttered under my breath at all of it. For those who have never been through anything like this, it makes it easier for them to be indifferent to the pain that we feel. You know I will be there to see you when you do get your surgery. Thank you for including me in your list on your profile, I am truly honored. God has given me a calling and I want to be able to help anyone and everyone that I can. I will keep you in my prayers. hI Georgeann, I probably shouldnt say this but take advantage of the Christmas goodies while you can because this will be the last time lol.My son is having his Jan 11. I think its a great way to start off the new year. I really think you are so lucky, I believe there is always a reason for everything. Please dont be discouraged,and enjoy,enjoy,enjoy, Love Cindy

Hi Cindy, Thanks for the encouragement but I think I will hold off on all the holiday goodies. I want to be prepared for whats ahead of me and I don't want to regain any of the weight I have lost already. I do hope that all goes well for your son on Jan.11th. Does he have a profile here on OH?
