This was posted from his wife. Hello everyone. First, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who has been saying prayers, sending cards and helping us financially. I will post a formal thank you when this ordeal is over and Jeremy is home with me, so do not think I don't appreciate everything! Prayers are working Slowly, but surely he is getting a little better each day. Like Kirsten said, his kidneys are still not working, so he is getting dialisist every day for 3 hours (instead of 24 hours constantly). He liver showed a little improvement. His breathing is good... the setting on c-pap is 8 and his oxygen level is 40%. His heart rate has bumped back up to the 120's, but the docs aren't worried until it reaches the 130's. His blood pressure is around 130/45... they said not to worry about the bottom number at all (go figure). His white blood count went back up to 21,000... they want it around 15,000... so that means he still has a bit of an infection in his system. They did another culture today on urine and other fluids, but it will take a few days for results. They are still not sure if he had a stroke or not, because he is too large for an MRI or catscan. So they said they will let it go and see what happens. He lost use of his right foot because of it, so he has physical therapy every day now to try and help... no progress yet, but it takes time. Right now Jeremy is awake and cranky. He can't talk or write yet, so it's frustrating for us all. He keeps grabbing at his dressings and tubes, so yesterday they had his hands tied down. But he understand me enough to reply to "I love you". I knew he was feeling better, too, because he wanted to watch/listen to some comedy sitcoms on tv (that's my Jeremy). I watched the nurse change his dressing yesterday and it was quite different than I had expected. I thought there was going to be a gaping hole, but instead his insides were sticking out. I haven't had a chance to discuss this situation with Dr. Muscarella or any of his associates. Jeremy certainly has a lot ahead of him. I love him so much and will not give up on him. This morning he was apologizing to me, saying he was sorry for putting me through this. This isn't his fault at all! I hope he understood me when I said that. I'm not too good at lip reading, but I'm trying. The docs still haven't done the scope yet, and I'm not sure if they are going to. Whatever is best for Jeremy. Thank you again everyone for everything... this is more than I could have ever asked for! Miracles happen around this time of year... he is my miracle. Love, Robbi
