Financing for Plastic Surgery
Hi gang!
I am looking at potential places to go for financing my plastic surgery, since, as we all find out, most insurance companies won't cover it.
I have been given a couple of names, but it anybody knows of a really good finance company that will work with you I would appreciate it. I have been given a quote of approx. $12,700. for tt and breast lift/augment (as outpatient surgery doing both at the same time). Being that this is an unsecured loan (can't reposses boobies...) I know it will be a little harder to get.
Thanks for the input! I appreciate it!

Hi Val,
I don't know if this would be an option or not for you but, if you are buying your own home, have you thought about a second mortgage? Borrowing from a 401k? Personal loan through a credit union. I do know of two finance companies here in Columbus. Tico Credit and American General. I don't know there phone number, but I am sure they are in the directory. I would use the finance companies last because of high intrest rates. You could even go to the bank that you deal with and see about a personal loan. It should not be a problem as long as you have something for colladeral. With Tico credit, ( I have used them before) I had to use my car, jewelry, camping equipment, home electronics, and even my compter for colladeral. They just want you to have about the same amount as what the loan is for. So if you wanted 18,000 you would need to have that mu*****olladeral. If you don't own enough, you may be able to have a family member or a good friend offer colladeral on your behalf.
Hope this helps.
Best of Luck
Lisa
Thanks! I do have a credit union account, so that's a thought, hmmmmm
I know the finance companies have high interest rates, but the more I get into this, the more it looks like I will have to do that route...
We do have a mortgage, so that is something I never thought about either. Unfortunately I tried to borrow against my 401K, but because I work for the state, they have it set up so that I can't borrow against it or withdraw any money because it is a mandatory retirement program. Just another "Perk" of working for the state...yeah right. I have more than enough in there to cover two plastic surgeries too!!!
So, I will keep those in mind. I figure, where there's a will there's a way. I could probably come up with all kinds of collateral if they would take it. So, that's a thought. I am determined to get this done. I didn't come all this way to be told NO!
There's always applying for Extreme Makeover too...hmmmmm
Thanks again!
Valerie
