Self pay in Ohio?

Hello Everyone, I just found out that my insurance company (Aetna PPO) will not be covering WLS in 2005, even though I am half way through my 6 month supervised diet. So I am looking for people that has self paid in Ohio or anywhere close. Please help, I am so discouraged with insurance companies!!!!! Thanks in advance! Tammy

Hi Tammy! I know what you mean, my husband's insurance totally excludes it so I was self pay from the get go. I have researched this to death and depending on where you live...Barix in columbus was the most expensive at over 28K, Dr. Curry at Deaconness in Cincinnati is around $17K and Dr. Fallang in Dayton is...go****hink around $17 for open and 21 for laproscopic.
