I have a very unique situation(maybe not so unique). I have United Healthcare Insurance. And through research, Surgery for Morbid Obesity is an exclusion in my policy. Here the catch -1. My Corporate Policy and Benefit guide states otherwise(BMI>35) 2. I recieved at letter of Approval from UHC saying that they benefits are covered. My issue is that now they are saying they will not cover it again. Does anyone have any name of Lawyers they have had success with in fighting this? and if so Who. And is there a chance that I could get this approved even though a letter of Appeals has been denied by my corporation and they are said to have the final say so in this matter??? Please Help. It is not fair that policies and letters can say one thing and my Co. can say another thing.
