What good thing did you do?

Here is an interesting question for you. What good thing did you do for yourself this week. We all are so hard on ourselves and push very hard. It is important to step back and do something nice for ourselves every week. This week I exercised 5 days and have improved my walk times. To reward myself I went to the mall. I went into the regular misses department and bought a new sweater. I felt so good about myself being in the "normal" people store and buying a regular size. So what have you done for yourself lately?

Hi Debbie, That's a great question. Yesterday I tried really hard to focus on spending time with my husband and kids. I am so glad I did! It was nice to have some unrushed quality time with them. I also worked on some of my artwork and made a new duvet cover for my comforter. I plan to do more sewing, scrapbooking and artwork while I am home recouperating. Tomorrow I plan to spend some time just reading a newspaper, somewhere besides the bathroom , for a change. That is such a luxury for me! I am usually so focused on the kids I don't have time to read anything other than my bible. That's great about your new sweater. It will sure be nice to wear something besides the ugly stuff that fits. I would love to look pretty for a change. It gives me something to look forward to. Hugs, Jaimee

Jaimee, I posted on your support page but just wanted to say that I wish you the best of luck on your surgery. I hope that all goes well and you are on the losing side soon.

Last night for the first time since my surgery, I hauled my butt upstairs to my bed. Oh my, I slept so much better! Its a small thing but what a world of difference!

Cathy, That is fantastic. We all sleep so much better in our own beds. Keep the positive thoughts going and have a speedy recovery. Welcome to the losing side. It is your chance to blossom. Deb
