Protien recipes please
I don't have any great recipes but please remember that each doctor is different. You should ask what your doctor wants you to eat. Cottage cheese, string cheese, yogurt are all good sources of protein if you are allowed them during this time.
When I came home from WLS I was allowed almost ANY food as long as is was moist enough, and I chewed it well. I was eating chicken, pork, fish, and ground turkey at 2 weeks out. Most was cooked in the crock pot.
Good Luck,

Two things not mentioned that I really liked after my first week post-op while I was still on pureed was refried beans mixed with a little bit of mild salsa and low-fat shredded cheese and then warmed up. The other thing I liked was a pureed version of lasagna (minus the pasta) - I took some ricotta, shredded chicken, spaghetti sauce and some shredded mozarella and pureed it and then warmed it up in the microwave. With both of these, I added a scoop of unflavored Unjury protein to boost my protein intake. It's funny about the chicken you mentioned, I'm just over three months post op and I still can't eat chicken, unless it's shredded up and in soup -- I can't imagine!
