hey deri welcome to the first step in your journey. buckle your seat belt it's gonna be the ride of your life. my best advice to give you is try not to get too discourged(sp). i'm two weeks post-op and if you have any ???? just e-mail me cheryl open rny 11-05-04 -28.5 lbs

Hi Deri ! ( pretty name! ) Welcome and glad to have you here. I don't yet have a surgery date, but am fairly far along in the process to get there. Stop back often ,as this is a pretty active board. We are all willing to answer anything you want to know. This is a long journey and takes a great deal of patience ( although I'm one to talk because I often lose mine at the whole process ) so be prepared to go the distance. Hi Deri, Glad you have posted ... I was a "lurker" for a while but it's a lot more fun if you just join right in. I have learned SO MUCH on this board and am making new friends. Just got my "approved" phone call today so I am pretty excited (and scared - LOL)! Anyway, there are a lot of post-ops and even some professional medical people posting on this board, so just read everything you can get your hands on. Best of luck Kitty B.
