I MADE IT!!

Just wanted to write a short post and let everyone know I made it and I'm home. I went through surgery fine with no complications so far, just tired. I will post later and update my porfile with all the info. later this week or next. The Barix, the staff and Dr. Barbara are AWESOME!! Pass the word.

Welcome Back. Glad you made it home. Now the fun really begins. Walk n water n protein. Take your time and remember it's a roller coaster. Hang on and enjoy the ride.

Congratulations Connie!!! Glad to hear everything went so well and you are now on your way to a new life. I look forward to reading your profile once you get it updated. I'm still going through the process to get pre approval. I'm going to Barix as well and have already had my consult with Dr. Barbara. So reading other peoples experiences with Barix and my surgeon are always great. I have questions for you but I'll wait and read your profile in case you answer them there first. Just typical stuff like open vs lap, hosital stay length and just general stuff about Barix. Congrats again and I hope all is going well T Hardy

Congratulations Connie! What an exciting time for you right now. I have also had a consultation at Barix, although I'm not sure if I'm going there or going to Dr. Curry in Cincy yet. But, I love hearing that things are going so well for you right now. When you are feeling better, please be sure to write and let us all know more about your experience. I would love to let you know what kind of person Dr. Curry is. Such a sweet doc and very very caring. I had mine done in July and I couldnt be happier with another Doctor. He is always there when you need him. He will answer emails everyday with any questions. Usually comes back with your answer and a funny comment.He is a real wonderful Doctor. Everyone is crazy about him. Hope this helps make your decision . Love and luck,Cindy

Hi Cindy, I love hearing these types of comments. However, I'm already hooked on Dr. C. from communication with him via this site and Sandy Pierce's site. I have my consultation with him this coming Friday, I'm really looking forward to meeting him and his whole staff (Leslie has been so helpful). I have a feeling that after my consultation, I won't feel I have much of a decision other than when to schedule it. My only hesitation is that I live in Columbus and he is in Cincy. Thanks again for your message, I love hearing good things about the surgeon I am considering for such a life altering process. I also love reading about your progress. Congrats!!!!! Dr. Barbara is to be my surgeon (pending insurance approval) so I , too, like to hear good things about him.
