Hi Christina. I am pre-op and I love reading of others' success. I really look forward to joining you on the losing side. I've had all of my pre-op evaluations done and now I'm waiting for a surgery date. I live in the Columbus area now, but grew up in the East Liverpool area. We always came to Boardman to shop ( Southern Park Mall ) or go to the movies or out to eat. I'm sure it's changed a lot over the years - I probably wouldn't recognize it !!
Congrats on your successful surgery and your great weight loss. Keep up the good work!

Patty,
I'm actually from Wellsville, but people have generally heard of ELO more often than Wellsville. My Dad was a manager at Ogilvies when their store was still downtown and my mom used to own "The Wicket Shop" in Lisbon. I think it is still there, but I'm not sure.
Are you post-op? Did you have your surgery in Ohio or PA ?
Thanks for taking the time to say HI! It's always nice to hear from people "back home".
Hi Christina,
I am also from Boardman. I haven't had my surgery yet. I am glad that you wrote. It is good to hear from other people who have been through what you are going through. I have one 13 year old daughter. She is the reason I am doing this. My husband passed away 8 years ago. I don't want her to lose her mom, so I have to be healthy. Congratulations on your success so far.

Hi! My name is Marsha Burky and I live in Sugarcreek. I am also waiting to see if my insurance will pay for surgery. It has been 3 weeks since I was to the surgeon. It has been a good experience so far and I am so glad to have found this website. I live 70 miles from where I am to have surgery and I was looking for a support group that I could converse with daily. I am very excited to see all of you doing so well. It is still like a dream to me that I could be thin. That is something I never have been in my life. Thanks for listening!
