need PCP in Youngstown
My boyfriend and I have both had WLS. He is 14 months out and I'm 4 months out. We are relocating to Youngstown from the NJ/PA area and need to find new doctors. Does anyone know the name of a PCP in the area that has experience working with WLS patients. Also any surgeons in the area that we might be able to contact if needed. Thanks in advance.
I don't know the names of any PCP in the Youngstown area..but i had WLS surgery have a wonderful PCP in Salem....which really isn't all that far from Youngstown......depending on which part of youngstown you live in.....I am almost 4 months out and my PCP bent over backwards to help me get the surgery..he also has other patients who had WLS.....If you can't find one in Youngstown, i will be glad to let you know the name of my PCP....just send me an email....patty

Where in the Youngstown area are you relocating to? I relocated here last year from western PA. I live in Boardman (just outside of Youngstown. I have a very good PCP in Campbell which is approximately 7 miles from Boardman. My PCP helped me start the process of the WLS. I also know a local surgeon who works out of one of the local hospitals. I have personally had experience with the surgeon on two occasions and have been pleased with the results. I also have just recently started going to a local support group which is open to anyone thinking about WLS, pre-op, or post-op. We meet at the Austintown Denny's on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00 - 8:00pm. We would be happy to have you and your boyfriend join us. I will gladly answer any of your questions that I can. Just drop me an e-mail. I will answer it as soon as I get it, (probably after my daughter goes to bed tomorrow evening).
