Appreciating the docs
All I have to say is that its about all of you. I have read through many postings and felt the urge to respond for several months. Until I saw I wasn't alone (Dr. Curry). Actually I am looking forward to a meeting with Dr. Curry next week for the first time, just to talk shop.
Before my fellowship at the University I used to call myself a simple country surgeon. After I joined the Faculty, I heard Gersin (my partner) saying the same thing, so now I'm a "simple bariatric country surgeon".
I would like everyone to know that I am always available for questions. I will always try to answer as promptly as possible and with the latest research that I can find. If I don't know the answer I will tell you, but I will also try to find out for you.
As I tell my students, I consider it a privilege to be asked and a honor to be trusted to provide an answer.
Sincerely,
Calvin A. Selwyn, Jr., M.D.
