What are your plans for Thanksgiving? I am hoping not to focus on food these days so I want to spend time with family. So many of my past holidays were centered on the food. Good food actually made the holidays. I have to change my mentality now. Food is just needed for living, not a way of life. So, I will spend time with family and loved ones and try to get some rest. My day is going to be different then any other year. I always had the dinner and loved cooking and tasting everything. This year my daughter is having it for me. I will probably cook the turkey but my kids are doing the rest. I hope I can have one bite of everything and I am sure thats all I can get down anyway. I do love spending the day with my 5 grandchildren and realizing my children all live within 10 minutes. I am very blessed but this is the first thanksgiving in 55 years without my mom. Its going to be hard so I have 2 hurdles to overcome,

My plans for Turkey, sitting in a hotel room with my oldest son, me feasting on water, broth and jello and hopefully they'll serve a turkey dinner in the cafeteria so he can eat turkey. Or if'n anyone in Cincy wants to adopt him for dinner.

Not sure what I am doing the day of...might find a place to volunteer. That weekend though I am going to Disney World and I have booked 3 meals with Disney Characters.
