??Question of the day??

Hi guys! Fall is in the air, the days are getting dark earlier and it is getting chilly out there. I tend to go into my little cave, bundle up with a blanket and some hot chocolate. I find it is very easy to get complacent about exercise and since the garden is dormant and the grass stops growing in the late Fall and Winter, I find that I have more opportunities to avoid things like exercise and I tend to eat heartier meals. So, my question is: What have you done post-op or what are you planning to do this year to avoid those old habits? What have you replaced them with? I know for me, I plan to use the time I would normally be curled up with a book and a bowl of popcorn and Hot chocolate to do some exerciseing. I want to try to refocus those behaviors. I have been asking myself how I will persevere when it is too snowy for me to go to the gym. If you have some thoughts on this you would like to share I would really appreciate hearing them. Hugs ~~jaimee 26 days to go!!!!!!

Hi Jaimee, You asked how you will presevere when it's too snowy for you to go to the gym. It's called 4 wheel drive !!! lol I plan on continuing my 5 days a week trek to the gym for water therapy/exercise!! I have too !! I just hope that we don't have a too rough of a winter this year. Good Luck finding a way to make it through the "cold" times !! Cindy

Good girl! You have a plan. I WISH I had 4-wheel drive. I am hoping to save up enough $$ to get a treadmill for home so I can keep on top of things.

How about joining Curves? There are three real close to you on main roads. I go to the one in Whitehall. I still love to read and since we get cold easier by all means keep the blankets and afgans handy. I just find the more I lose the more I move, even around the house. I am constantly finding something that needs my attention. Good luck with your surgery and isn't it wonderful to do something for yourself?
