read what I was able to do today :)
Hi gang,
Just had to share this moment with you. Today I went to my water therapy/exercise time at the YMCA. I have a Rascal scooter to use to get around since my knee's are shot (arthritis and bone spurs.. both knees) HOWEVER today, I was feeling pretty dang good, so I thought I should try and walk into the Y and leave my scooter in the truck. It's been several years since I walked in on my own. Prior to my scooter, I was pushed in in a wheelchair. So I am happy.. very happy to report that I walked in and walked all the way to the pool without sitting down. The therapist was smiling as were several other regulars in the pool. I know that I won't be doing this everytime, as some days are better the others, But it is nice to know I can make it without my knee's killing me... or being short of breath!!! It's been a good week for me... a very good week. I am so thankful I am gaining back "things" my life as I am losing pounds!!!
Thank you all for your support !! This group is the best !!!

Way to go, Cindy!!!!! I'm so happy for you!
Cindy, Oh can I relate to this. I also have a Rascal Scooter and have to use it to get into the YMCA. I am living for the day that I don't have to use it. I have serious back issues and my knees are bad. I have gained about 100 lbs. after hurting my back. I have been riding my scooter up to the pool steps and getting in. I had worked myself up to one hour of walking and a few stretches. I had my surgery a week ago, so I won't be able to go for a couple of weeks, but I can't wait to get back. I am so happy for you, because I truly understand. God Bless you. Debra
