Baribuds Goodie Basket Project-Toledo area
Baribuds Goodie Basket Project
We agreed as a group to assemble baskets of goodies to be distributed to our fellow WLS patients at the local hospitals or sent thru a friend. This is certainly a voluntary donation project and in no way should put a burden on your personal finances. Some may have gifts of themselves and their talents as opposed to "buying" a trinket or token.
Please think of what helped you immediately following your surgery or what might have helped to get thru the first few days at the hospital or weeks at home!
We are listing a few possible suggestions. If you have other thoughts, please feel free to share with the group ! Also; if you make a purchase or stumble on a find- let us know between now and the next meeting so we don't all arrive with a dozen chapsticks!(Please bring things in quantities of 6 or 12-thanx!)
Please feel free to bring sayings or quotes or charts or web links that you feel are appropriate. We will also be constructing a "journal" for our baskets. Things needing to be reproduced should either be done in quantities of 6 or 12- or we can do copying at a later date.If they are not too lengthy; perhaps they can be hand written in the journals!
Let's keep this fun and in the spirit intended!

Food and Drug basic has smaller packages of instant potatoes also at a good price. Oh and not Crystal light, but their name brand that is way cheaper but still no sugar. That's on my way home from work, kinda sorta. I'll see if I have any $ left after tommorrow. lol (i gotta, this was the check that bills have to come out of) I'm ok, just going to pay it forward so I HOPE I have the $ needed to stay in Cincy and hope like heck I got a job afterwards. My year is nearly up as a VISTA, but my director does want to keep me another year.
I'm going out tommorrow again to see what I can find. Mostly I was looking for supplies for MY journey!

Margo,
What a terrific idea! Something that was absolutely critical to my comfort and success during my three day hospital stay was a little tape recorder, headphones and a "Health Journeys" visualization cassette. I had listened to it during the months prior to surgery.
I also used no-rinse shampoo during the I got home.
