ID BRACELET INFO - VIP!!!

Hi Everyone, I talked to my brother tonight about his WLS surgery, talking to him alone was a miracle. He agrees he'd do it again in a heartbeat. I asked him if he had an ID braclet and he said yes. I asked what he had on it, not only did he have the surgery and the meds we can't take, but on the front side he included his full name and the phone number of someone who is usually home to take the emergency call. I had never thought of that. So I thought I'd tell you all about it too since I've never seen it mentioned on this board. So you might want to add your name and a phone number of someone to call on the front!!! If you are not able to speak and don't have your drivers license on you, this would be a good thing to have, right? My brother was very nice to me and I was in total shock since, to him, I don't exist. He wished me well on my upcoming surgery, hopefull upcoming for me. I call him once every two years to remind him I'm alive and well and to bug the chit out of him - making him talk to me. Isn't that what sisters are supposed to do??? Hope you all are well. I think those are great ideas! I know they have saved many lives. So, you say, why don't you have one Ms. Nurse? I don't know!! I really should. It is a good idea that emergency people are aware of your altered gut in the event of an emergency and they try to put tubes down. They are also a really good idea for allergies too, I have allergies to Morphine and Latex *now that makes it intersting being a nurse!* Great idea Susie! And yes, you need to bug your brother. I bug mine. I am good at it. I practiced for many years and I think I have it almost perfected! Maybe now with common ground your relationship could possibly get better? I hope. Lifes' too short!
